A stunning relaxed wedding in the Dorset Countryside
Well where do I start?! Caroline and Stu are got married yesterday and it was completely perfect in every way. They are the loveliest most chilled and relaxed couple and when I first met them a year ago after they booked me I knew their wedding day was going to be a total joy to document. Caroline got ready at the lovely Crown Hotel in Blandford with her parents, best friend and Sister.
I met Wendy from Sapphire Styling and she was a complete joy to work along side. Bride Caroline and the bridesmaids looked so beautiful. Lesley from Occasions created the most incredible bouquets and floral crowns. Wow.
Caroline slipped into her stunning Heaton gown designed by Wtoo by Watters and bought from the lovely bridal boutique Stephanie Frances Bridal , everyone in the room went silent as Caroline literally became a bridal goddess in a matter of moments!
The ceremony
The ceremony and reception location was at my new favourite venue ever Knighton House, this venue is a photographers dream. So many beautiful backdrops, and rolling countryside for miles in every direction! Dorset at it’s absolute best. Lucy the Weddings and Events Co-ordinator is an absolute legend, so approachable and super hard working. It almost didn’t feel like work when you’re part of such a fab team.
Stu and Caroline said their vows in a beautiful outdoor ceremony with a small selection of their nearest and dearest, it was just perfect and after a short ceremony it was time to pop the champagne and enjoy the breathtaking back drop Knighton House offers. Carolines Bestie Lindsey helped to round up the family for the group shots, she was amazing and I think should rent herself out to weddings for group shot rounding up. Thanks Lindsey!
I whisked C + S off for some photographs and they laughed almost the entire way around the grounds. It’s impossible to not get a gorgeous set of photos when you have a couple that is clearly so happy and comfortable with each other. I suggested sneaking into the cow field for a few photos and Caroline being the Daughter of a farmer was completely up for it!
Lovely relaxed sharing platter style dining
Dinner was a relaxed Italian themed affair with sharing platters. The beautiful food also decorated the stunning long, rustic, dark wood tables. Eucalyptus and 50 mini succulents home grown by Carolines Gran also dressed the table. It was all so natural, simple and beautiful.
The sun shone the entire day and considering the day prior had rained from start to finish I think the weather gods where 100% on the new Mr and Mrs L’s side. We even had the chance to pop out for a little golden hour light.
When it came to packing away my kit and heading home I almost felt like popping on some heels and partying with my new friends! The guests and bridal party were just wonderful and I genuinely felt like a guest rather than a vendor. It was a complete pleasure from first enquiry until now and I cannot wait to edit the full gallery. This is just a handful of the amazing moments that happened yesterday at Stu and Caroline’s beautiful, relaxed, Dorset Wedding.
Enjoy! Much love!
