For me, my favourite photographs are the ones that make you feel something. The ones that take you straight back to a moment. The people, the atmosphere, the laughter, the way it all felt. After more than ten years photographing weddings, I've learnt that it's often the little things that stay with us. The moments happening quietly in the background, the faces of your favourites, the unexpected emotion and all the bits in between.
I love beautiful photographs, but I care just as much about you actually enjoying your wedding.
I'm not going to whisk you away for an hour of posing when you could be having the best time with your favourite people. Most of my couples spend around 10–15 minutes with me for portraits. Just enough time to create something lovely without missing the good stuff - the canapés, the champagne, your bridesmaids having the best time!
My approach is relaxed, instinctive and honest. I'll step in when you need me, but mostly I'll be watching, noticing and photographing things as they naturally unfold.
Years from now, I want your photographs to feel like your memories. To bring back the people, the atmosphere and the feeling of your day. Not a version of your wedding that was created for the camera.
If this sounds like you, I'd love to hear from you.
Sam xx
