I start by saying that I just adored this day with the most fabulous people and couple. The sun was shining which is nice to see on a chilly spring day like today!
So it all started off at the Manor House at Norton Park, the girls had use of the large and light orchid room for preparations as well as one of the lovely giant rooms next door. Bella’s sister was present, broken leg and all and had just arrived after travelling over from Canada which was a little touch and go due to an untimely accident. I could feel the happiness and relief that it was able to happen. Bella had chosen such lovely classic items for her dress and accessories. It was so chilled during hair and make-up it was just like hanging out with old friends! Makeup was carried out by the lovely Lucy Houghton @lucyhoughtonmakeup and hair for both Bella and her super lovely bridesmaid was by the awesome Victoria @vixtabav. Everyone was nearly ready and then the fabulous flowers arrived, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting the ladies from @thebloomingworkshop a number of times now and they always impress. I really love the extra touch of hand delivering the bouquets to the bride as it really adds to the excitement, and who doesn’t love being handed a beautiful bouquet of flowers!
As always that last hour of bridal prep went into fast forward and it was soon the moment for the father of the bride to see his daughter. It was such a beautiful moment. I love the look on their faces as they have a cheers moments shortly before heading off to the ceremony.
Whilst Bella sorted out the paperwork with the registrars and convinced them that she was who she says and was not in fact being forced to marry the love of her life we were good to go! The boys were looking pretty dapper and Jon’s head was looking perfect. The reason I mention this is that a few weeks earlier he was contemplating wearing a hat due to serious sunburn on the top of his head….which I’m told has NEVER happened in the many years that he’s worked outside for a living! Phew!
The pageboys AKA Bella + Jons very own pet dogs were looking so lovely and behaved so well I was seriously impressed! They witnessed the wedding vows and before they could wag a tail and get into mischief there Mum and Dad where official husband and wife! It was a short and sweet ceremony and followed with a sea of confetti! The sun shone all day long and the remainder of the day ran smoothly and even gave us a chance to have a second session of photographs when the sun wasn’t as harsh and Bella + Jon had really settled into the day. They were such good sports and really did allow me to spend a good half an hour with them to really get such a great and varied collection of photographs. Norton Park really is such a lovely location for pretty portraits, not only does it have a gorgeous lake setting but there are some beautiful trees and outbuildings that really are so easy to use due to everything being set so close together.
The sun was setting and soon evening guests where arriving and it was party time! There was a teeny hitch with the DJ but the staff at Norton Park where amazing and sorted this super quickly and the DJ arrived within the hour!
I stayed for the first dance and then it was time to leave and back up the images I had taken! I had ALOT! Bella and Jon were just such a beautiful couple. Thank you, Mr + Mrs A for not only looking after me so well on your wedding day but also really putting aside any nerves for the photo sessions and allowing me to give you so many gorgeous photos of you just being you! I’m lucky enough that Bella’s bridesmaid has booked me for her own wedding next year so I’m really looking forward to seeing some of these lovely faces again!
